Tallinn Airport on Saturday evacuated the passenger terminal for safety reasons, as a suspicious object was found in the airport building. Spokespeople for the North prefecture of the Police and Border Guard Board told ERR that police officials and a bomb disposal unit were on the scene but were unable to specify what exactly it was that raised suspicions of a bomb. The airport resumed normal operation after the harmlessness of an object that caused suspicions was determined, the news portal of the public broadcaster ERR reported.

A Boeing airplane carrying over people has crash-landed at San Francisco international airport killing two people and leaving many injured. The plane operated by South Korean airline Asiana Airlines was flying to the US from Seoul when it caught fire after crashing into the runway. Two Chinese teenage girls are believed to be the pair killed in the accident, with others taken to hospital.
Employees at the airport were conducting routine X-rays of luggage when they spotted "suspicious content in a luggage piece," according to the federal police in Berlin. Because it was unclear from the initial scan what the bag contained, an alert was issued shortly before 11 a. The owner of the bag was called over the airport speaker system and eventually talked to police about his luggage.
